The department educates experts in the field of Applied Mechanics with a focus on applied structural mechanics. The main emphasis is placed on theoretical analysis, development and creation of computational models of building structures, their solution using modern computational methods, and experimental analysis of these structures through the application of progressive diagnostic methods. At the same time, it participates in the education of experts in other study programmes through teaching theoretical foundations of building and transportation constructions.
