Science and Research

  • Research Areas

    The department's research is primarily focused on: thermal protection of buildings, progressive building structures, building pathology, historical wooden structures, and new trends in architectural design. The department has built an experimental pavilion-type testing laboratory for research on progressive building envelope structures under real conditions, and its instrumentation is currently being expanded. Part of the team is involved in the research project of the Center of Excellence in Transportation Engineering. Teaching staff regularly participate in research projects such as VEGA, KEGA, APVV, projects of state institutions of the Slovak Republic, international projects, etc.
