GeoServer is widely used in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and finds applications in many sectors, including public administration, urban planning, transportation, forestry, environmental management, and more. Its open-source nature and ability to integrate with various data formats and standards make it an important tool for managing and providing access to geographic information through web services.
