Safety, serviceability and durability are the basic parameters to ensure the reliability of the whole structure or its Safety, serviceability and durability are the basic parameters to ensure the reliability of the whole structure or itsparts. So, the durability is the important parameter for design or evaluation of structures. The durability isinfluenced by degradation processes as corrosion of reinforcement, prestressed steel and structural steel duringbridge structure lifetime or variation of mechanical properties of concrete in form of modulus of elasticity changingdue to freeze-thaw cycling. The presented degradation processes and change of mechanical properties duringstructure lifetime markedly influence the resistance and deformation parameters of structure. The project isfocused on study of corrosion characteristics of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures as well asinfluence of freeze-thaw cycling on change of concrete elasticity modulus. The is-situ measurements on realstructures and small specimens for measurements in test chamber (rapid tests) are proposed to be used inproject.
