The aim of the proposed project is to develop a study of steel and coupled bridge structures in accordance with the newly introduced European standards in close cooperation with the University of Žilina, as well as a comparison of the design procedures between individual standards. When introducing new standards, the completeness and extent of changes that occur for the designers should be taken into account. It is not just a normal change, but a comprehensive change in the entire design methodology, which interferes with each design area (from the load of the construction to the assessment of the details) and at the same time change the entire concept so far. These changes are tied to each other and therefore cannot be solved individually, but they must be treated as a whole. Given the content and scope of changes, lack of expert comments and interpretations of these regulations in the Slovak language, it is necessary to ensure the professional management of students in accordance with the new regulations and at the same time retraining engineers to meet the newly proposed buildings to meet the criteria and show signs of reliable and safe construction. Although the transitional period for the introduction of new standards has been set, most engineers still did not agree with new regulations. Assuming that the designer cannot combine old and new regulations (because they are tied to each other), it is probably that only new standards will have to change the entire proposal from day to day. By creating a monograph, it will ensure a smoother transition to European standards, unite and clarify the conditions for the design of steel and coupled bridge structures. This publication will serve as a textbook for students of construction faculties and will be a good aid for designers in their lifelong learning. At the same time, the project also includes seminars for the professional public, where designers will be trained and suggestions and comments from practice will also be earned, which in the future can be used by the process of creating standards. " in close cooperation with the University of Žilina. Given the extent of changes that arise with newly argued standards, it is necessary to approach the issue completely, to clarify the proposal procedures, to point out the different and newly introduced procedures and to respond flexibly to the problems and questions of the designers. Easier transition to new standards, acquired knowledge to integrate into the pedagogical process and at the same time by integrating theoretical knowledge to create documents for reliable design of bridge structures.
