Strengthening the REsilience MAnagement of Key infrastructue Elements using advances in 3D modeling

Head of the project: prof. Ing. Zdeněk Dvořák, PhD. Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, Fakulta bezpečnostného inžinierstva

Research team (department): doc. Ing. Odrobiňák Jaroslav, PhD., doc. Ing. Petra Bujňáková, PhD., Ing. Matúš Farbák, PhD.

Duration: January 2023 – Juny 2027

The aim of the proposed project is the research and development of an innovative integrated information system for critical assets, focused on the assessing their resilience againts the internal and external threats and security risks. Primarily, it will be about the application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) to a selected area, by creating a pilot "Area Resilience Information Modeling" (AResIM). Based on the identification and analysis of threats acting on important infrastructure assets, an integrated system for the resilience assessment of critical assets will be developed using innovative interdisciplinary methods (such as unmanned aerial systems, 3D scanning, creation of an area model and expert evaluation of the data). The developed system will be continuously tested at regional level.
