| The current state of geotechnical design reflects many problems that extend from the training of experts in this discipline to construction and environmental practice. The need for research in this area is documented by examples of failures in construction sites, the use of disadvantageous procedures and suboptimal solutions in the construction of transport infrastructure. The ambition of the project is also to point out new possibilities and procedures for solving complex tasks in geotechnical practice, based on the implemented activities, and to contribute to material, time and financial savings by optimizing the geotechnical design of structures. | |
